Hi there! I am a travel nurse on holiday between jobs and headed to Europe for the summer. Climbing, hiking, scuba diving, snowboarding and reading are a few hobbies. In a new city I love sightseeing, especially cathedrals and botanical gardens, and eating ALL the pastries! I can be chatty but usually stay busy and take full advantage of my time while traveling

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used Couchsurfing in quite awhile, but I travel solo a lot and find it harder to connect with a place when staying in hotels or AirBnbs, and the hostel environment can be stressful and loud! Couchsurfing is a more authentic way to experience a new place and meet other world-minded people. I LOVE learning about what people's lives are like in other countries, especially when it comes to healthcare. I've not really lived in one place long enough to host but hope to start within the next year!

Interests

Normally when I get to a new city I like to go for a run and get the layout, just to understand my bearings and see where public transport is. I do some of my own research but also like to ask people wherever I am (hostel, cafe, train station) about places to go and eat. I really like to go out and find local activities, though these will usually center around beer and/or music! Just want to find whatever is particular/signature to that city and marks it as special. Caveat - I love going to the movies esp. if the weather is crap!
