I work at a year round school - 9 weeks on, 3 weeks off. When I'm tracked in, work is my life, and I have very little time to do anything else. When I track out, I get a break from the 9-5 and a chance to satisfy my wanderlust. The best part of traveling is the people I meet along the way, and couchsurfing has yet to disappoint!

Interests

I love to get outside and stay active - yoga, hiking, kayaking. I’m always down to check out the art and architecture of new cities, as well as the history of a place (cemeteries are super cool).

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a total Harry Potter nerd...and anything science fiction (books and movies). I read a lot of young adult books to keep up to date with what my students are into (I just reread A Wrinkle in Time), but my favorite author has to be Margaret Atwood.

I grew up with a lot of strong musical influences in my family, so I listen to most everything, but I’ve been on a Latin kick lately and I can never say no to jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Appalachian trail for 3 days with my brother when he set out to thru-hike it. I couldn't handle that lifestyle for more than a few days, but it was incredible to be that connected to nature and him.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I’m pretty fun - and when I’m on vacation I can leave all my responsibilities behind and focus 100% on having a good time. I promise to be as much fun as possible 🎉
