About Me

Just your average science nerd, slowly trying to see the world. I like having fun, cooking, dancing, singing-badly, lazy days, and pretty much all things outdoors (climbing? yep! hiking? you got it.) SO ON & SO FORTH.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend had two couchsurfers stay at her place, and I hung out with both of them (one during a day at the beach and the other at an outdoor movie night) and they were great! I love meeting new people from new places, so I guess that's why I'm here. :)

Interests

In my free time, I love spending time at the beach and the park and generally being active. I love travelling - seeing new places and experiencing new things is really engaging for me. I am also a "foodie" and love to cook!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This may seem small to some people, but when I was in high school I climbed a 100 foot tree and jumped off it - it was at a ropes course field trip. I am extremely afraid of heights, so this was a huge thing for me.

Another thing that left me awestruck was a boat trip I took in 2011 with some coworkers. We traveled through a "bait ball," which is a group of fish that are fleeing from something or panicked and end up jumping up through the air. It was amazing - the sea just sparkling with jumping fish. Overhead, there was dozens and dozens of birds trying to catch the fish. Later in the trip, we saw two whales. It was just really amazing, to be amongst all of those things.
