To experience the way other people live their lives, to catch a glimpse beyond the hard facade of places and into the lives of the people who fill these places.

ABOUT ME

I'm a calm person with a quirky side. I smile big and laugh loud. I grew up in Canada, lived for a little while in France, China, and Laos. Now I'm in St. John's, Newfoundland for graduate school.

Travel is a passion, but more than that is the people I meet when I travel.

I have some core beliefs, but to write anything down makes it concrete and I always challenge what I believe through new experiences and meeting new people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted some friends while I was abroad and had an apartment in Shanghai. We are working on getting a spare room setup and for now I'd love to meet folks who are living and visiting here.

Interests

I enjoy art and theater, I'm no expert but it has always been a passion. I love to read and always search for those books that you pick up and can't put down. I like to play sports just for fun. Mostly I am interested in life and all the bizarre/interesting/confusing/wonderful/amazing moments involved in living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been really lucky to have seen some truly amazing things in my life. An orca whale rubbing its giant body against the side of the boat I was in. Hiking 4 hours to the top of a volcano in Costa Rica to see the lake that now filled the top of the crater. Hiking the Great Wall for so long that my legs didn't work the next day... or the day after that! :)
