About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm looking to meet new people and hear their stories, learn more about their culture, and share an adventure or two!

ABOUT ME

I'm a young family physician currently based in Toronto, Ontario, with an interest in inner city medicine. I feel so privileged that I get to hear so many people's stories and share in so many people's joys and struggles. In a similar vein (pun sort-of-not-intended), I am enthralled by the CouchSurfing experience--so many stories!--such interesting people!

PHILOSOPHY

"If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together." - Lilla Watson, Aboriginal educator and activist

I think there is really something to this message--and I think CouchSurfing is an amazing way to build the relationships that are foundational to a sense of solidarity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with my sister through Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia in 2009, in Belgium in 2010, in southern India in 2011, in the Yukon in 2012, and in China and Vietnam in 2014. My experiences hosting in Ottawa, Hamilton, and Toronto have proven nearly as exciting!
