I am an easy going person with a love of nature, like minded people, and adventure. I've dabbled in many of the arts, from painting & drawing to film and audio. I love music, books, movies, traveling, gardening, animals, and I have a great desire to live a life of sustainability.

For the last five years I've been living in Taiwan, teaching English to Kindergarten and Elementary school students. Before that I lived in a small eco-friendly intentional community on Costa Rica.

Soon I will be venturing out on an adventure throughout Australia, Fiji, and Southeast Asia. In addition to helping my remarkably talented husband, Mike Mudd, perform and get his music out there, we will be visiting permaculture villages to get some hands on experience growing food and building community. We also want to make connections with like minded people through couch-surfing during our travels.

Ultimately, in a year or so, we'll be settling down on a parcel of land in Fiji. Once we get our Fiji home built and our food planted we'll be inviting people to come out and share the beauty and the fresh home grown food we'll be growing. We will be happy to have to opportunity to contribute to the couch-surfing community when we've settled in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people. I think that the best way to experience a place when traveling is by connecting with the people who live there. I also want to create a network of people to keep in touch with in the future. I am interested in fellow travelers who want to exchange tips, stories, and skills.

I love a huge genre of movies, and am into just about everything but romantic comedy, but I must guiltily admit that I am a big fan of B movies!
I am an avid reader. I like both fiction and non-fiction. Some of my favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, Terry Pratchett, HP Lovecraft, and too many more to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At one point I quit my job and sold everything I owned that didn't fit into a backpack and travelled around Central America.
Sadly, I've reaccumulated way too much stuff back since then:(

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of skills I'd be happy to share. I can make soap and brew some tasty beer. I'm happy to share any knowledge, experience, or connections travel-wise with hosts. I'm also a good cook and always willing to lend a hand in the kitchen.
