Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Develop professional sense of world exploration.

ABOUT ME

I actively seek out inspiration, thrive on adventure, and I could live happily in libraries. I believe in talking to strangers, I believe in spontaneity, I believe in being honest, and I believe in holding the door for people. I believe Travel is one of the world's greatest teachers. I aspire to be weirder.

PHILOSOPHY

// What is this life if full of care; we have no time to stand and stare - W.H. Davis // A single conversation with a wise person is better than ten years of study. - Chinese Proverb // Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing. - Benjamin Franklin // Imagination, the traitor of the mind, has taken my solitude and slain it. - Robinson Jeffers // Happiness only real when shared - Christopher McCandles // I have always imagined that Paradise would be a kind of library. - Jorge Luis Borges // Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got - Art Buchwald //

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Any way that I can (though my current roomies aren't couchsurfer friendly unless David and I pass you off as a friend).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My Couchsurfing experience has been incredible. So many people have helped me along in my adventures. I have been shown great places, fed great food, and been introduced to some truly spectacular people.

Intereses

Traveling, dancing, sarcasm, and cooking with recipes.

Making to-do lists, getting dirty, playing outside, and drinking ideal temperature water.

Trying other people's favorite food, completing bucket list items, playing games (especially of the board variety), and organizing my finances.

Exercising, journaling, writing, reading, sharing and getting my education.

Working in libraries, handwritten letters, being with interesting people or people I love, and having experiences.

Conversations with strangers, staring at art, saving money, and intelligent risk-taking.

Opportunities, yoga, breathing, healthy neurons, wearing dresses, dark room film photography, and intellectual debates.

More dancing, ambient lighting, good oral hygiene, vivid dreaming, camping, backpacking, trail-work, & hiking.

Community service, healthy eating, realism, good music, couchsurfing, and having purpose.

Música, películas y libros

Movies, Music, Books = soul food.

Where to start?

Movies and TV, off the top of my head: Ingrid Bergman's Persona, Legends of the Fall, Prisoners, Dead Poet's Society, Battlestar Gallactica, The OC, Gladiator, How I Met Your Mother, The Green Mile, Seven Pounds, 21 Grams, Amelie, Into The Wild, Lord of the Rings, Edward Scissorhands, Ghost, 13 Going On 30, V for Vendetta, Dirty Dancing, Fight Club, Lady and the Tramp, Troy, The Matrix, Avatar, Finding Nemo, Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings, Brokeback Mountain, Casablanca, so many of the old black and white films, all kinds of well-made documentaries... and the list goes on.

Music: the stuff that makes my spirit sing and my hips move.

Books: the stuff that makes my spirit sing and keeps me reading.

I can teach about my experiences and my passions. I love to learn. I want to become fluent in Spanish and my bucket list still includes: learn martial arts, run a marathon, write a book worth reading, go strawberry-picking, swim with dolphins, touch the Great Wall of China, successfully complete 50 consecutive pushups, paint a room orange, donate $500+ to charity, windsurf, and make an entire outfit out of duct tape.

I love sharing food and swapping stories.
