My goal on this earth it to meet and connect with people, experience new cultures, do more than just scratch the surface!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going gal originally from Ontario with a silly sense of humour. In the summer you can find me working as a tour/hiking guide in Western Canada and in the winter working in the ski industry in the Canadian Rockies. But no matter the season, one thing is certain you'll usually find me outdoors exploring this beautiful planet we live on. I'm enthralled by nature and it's beauty.

PHILOSOPHY

The following quote really hits home for me:

To live with the conscious knowledge of the shadow of uncertainty, with the knowledge that disaster or tragedy could strike at any time; to be afraid and to know and acknowledge your fear, and still to live creatively and with unstinting love: that is to live with grace. - Peter Henry Abrahams

But I also think that having this knowledge should move us to achieve our goals and throw away the excuses to make things happen. We are not getting any younger and we only have today.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Staying in a remote jungle village in Cambodia where I was greeted by local children who performed traditional dancing and singing. Hearing the really tragic story of their village and how they have persevered was so touching. They are so appreciative of life and what it brings them and I wish that this could be better understood throughout the world.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Some of the things I can bring to the table in terms of teaching is how to speak french, knitting, cook delicious vegetarian meals, how to have a sustainable garden!
Some things I would like to do is to practice Spanish and German, how to be a better seamstress, improve my knitting, learn to sail, learn to rock climb. And I always welcome a good thought provoking conversation.
