Overview
About Me
I've lived in Annapolis, MD area my whole life until going to Virginia Tech for Undergrad, and later Virginia-Maryland for vet school. I'm currently a 4th-year vet student, taking a year off for family health reasons. My interests are in mixed animal practice (dogs, cats, cows, horses, pigs) and reproductive medicine.
I consider myself an extroverted introvert, and a jack of all trades (master of none). I'm eager to learn an array of new skills, and I enjoy teaching (although I''m not sure how good I am at it yet).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've done a fair bit of traveling, but I always feel like I'm missing on authentic experiences until I slept on my cousin's couch in San Fransico and actually felt like I could truly explore the city through her experiences. I love hearing stories and trading things learned through life and I just want to get more out of the places I travel in the world.
Interests
In the past several years I've really gotten into caving. It's a really fascinating sport, and it's like visiting another foreign planet that so few people get to see.
I've always been a hobby artist (photography, ceramics, and 2D), and I've recently tried to get back into painting and sketching for myself. I'm still not sure what my style is.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Most anything, favorites include Bastille and Panic! At the Disco.
Books: Often Scifi/Fantasy help me escape, but I've recently learned I really love adventure non-fiction. I highly recommend "Paddle to the Amazon" by Don Starkell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to New Zealand and lived in Palmerston North for 3 months doing research on dairy cows.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've started to teach a friend how to make art he can be proud of. I'm always eager to learn about the cities I'm in, and I'm especially eager to learn about other travel experiences. There's a whole lot of world to see, and I love discovering places that I didn't know I needed to go.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would like to think I have some stories to share and some tips to teach, but I've never done this before, so I'm not sure what a host would wish me to share with them. Hopefully a new perspective on some things in the agricultural industry, or the medical field in general.
I'd love to help out with any projects that a host needs a helping hand with. If there's one thing I most enjoy sharing, it's time.
