About Me

Hello! Recently returned to Northern CA - been wandering around other places for the past 6 years. I work a ton, as an architect M-F in Sonoma/SF & at a little wine tasting room up in the redwoods on Saturdays. I grew up in a small town up north, left for college on the East Coast/then up to Portland for a bit, with a good bit of travel through Europe and SE Asia thrown in between. I'm trying out the whole stay in one place - focus on your career thing right now so I'll be putting roots down in Sonoma for a good bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be quitting my Saturday wine job come summer + want to open up my options for some summer weekend trips around CA/nearby. Also - my new tattoo artist is in Arcata, a 4 hour drive up from Sonoma, so hoping to check out my options and make weekend trips out of going up to have her work on my pieces. 8 hours of driving in one day sounds tiring as fuck and like a colossal waste of even going up that deep into the amazing redwood country, I'd rather make a full weekend out of it and meet some cool new people!

Interests

Trying not to let stress from my "big girl" architecture job take over, reading, learning, yoga classes, meditation, making candles, drawing, hiking in redwoods whenever possible, + spontaneous last minute adventure is my jam. Love road trips, love travel, and love new experiences. Also super into yurts/treehouses/any sort of alternative and/or sustainable design or architecture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Vonnegut if we're going fiction, or anything out there and mystic / anything I can learn from. A lot of my recent reading revolves around heavy self work/female energy, such as Women who Run with the Wolves / etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bought a motorcycle in Vietnam and attempted to cross the country on it
