About Me

I'm from New York, lived in Madrid for 3 years, and traveled full time for 3 years. I now live in Buffalo, New York and love it! I travel a lot for work and pleasure, but always love coming home, which I think is a good sign ;)

I am a travel writer and editor and enjoy creative writing, photography, traveling, language learning, exploring new places, hiking, meeting new people from around the world! I'm an avid biker and newbie rock climber (but I'm addicted).

I used to be a nomadic house sitter, taking care of people's pets and homes while they are away in exchange for accommodation. I've met some truly quirky people and pets this way - just ask me for some of my fav stories!

---

I've worked as an archaeologist in New York, and Menorca, Spain, an English teacher in Madrid, a content editor for a startup in NYC, a freelance academic textbook/fiction book editor, and am now a travel editor/writer for a major travel website.

P.S. I'm fully vaccinated!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet travel and meet interesting, inspiring, and adventurous people looking to shake their lives up and live alternatively and creatively. I've couchsurfed mainly in Europe and a few times in the U.S. I love meeting up with people for interesting conversations, get different views on life, and to learn what it's like to live in their city.

Unfortunately I've never had a chance to host due to inflexible roommates and my nomadic nature, but I truly look forward to the day when I can give back to this great community.

How to start house sitting - a great way to get accomodation in exchange for taking care of pets!

English! I've been an English teacher and around a lot of non-native speakers of English, so I've gotten pretty got at deciphering what people are trying to say. If you're learning English, I can definitely help you out.
