Overview
About Me
I've lived in St. Louis for 4+ years now. I've known about CouchSurfing for a while and have gone to many of the social events in town, but haven't decided to host...until now!
I love food: cooking and eating. I'm near a really cool part of town with lots of interesting food.
I'm originally from New York, grew up in suburban Connecticut and I finished undergrad in 2009. I moved to St. Louis for graduate school and I decided to make it my home.
I do have a lovely dog that's been my companion for a few years living with me. We romp around quite a bit and enjoy walks in the neighborhood.
I'm usually doing things with friends on weekends and/or with my partner, but you're welcome to join us or do your own thing. There's a lot to do in St. Louis and I'm happy to direct you on where to go or even go with you time permitting.
I work a typical 40-hour work Monday-Friday week and I try to go to the gym after work. Let me know when you want to come into town and we can figure scheduling out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My close friends in town CouchSurf A LOT and after watching some documentaries, I've decided to venture forward and start hosting. I've been to a lot of the CouchSurfing social events in town, it's a fun group in St. Louis.
Interests
I love to cook. Depending on how long/when you stay over, I can guarantee you one home-cooked meal.
I also enjoy going out to eat (which is unfortunate, financially speaking). If there's a type of food you love or want to try, we can go for a culinary adventure!
I also love animals. I have an eccentric dog who loves meeting new people. My roommate also has two cats. I'm also always up for a trip to the zoo, which, by the way, is free :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My To Read list grows daily....and my bookshelf sadly contains more books I have bought that I have not read (or have started, but have not finished....)
My boyfriend makes fun of my music tastes. To be fair, it's not really that developed. It's mostly whatever's on the radio. I enjoy the classical music concert every so often though.
I like pretty atypical movies, that are thought provoking, but also accessible to the audience...if that makes sense? You can check out my Netflix when you come over haha
I do enjoy an interesting array of television shows: Star Trek, Scrubs, Community, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Sherlock, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, I'm sure there are some I am missing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Stonehenge. I've seen the Daily Show recorded live. I've heard Maya Angelou speak. I've marched on Washington. I've been to Greece, Ireland, Wales, England, and Thailand.
Teach, Learn, Share
Guide to good food in the area or a home-cooked meal if preferred. Perhaps a brief tour of the city.
