About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun loving gal. I love going to hear music, I love playing music and singing, I love dancing. I love to laugh, I love a good joke. I love a good discussion/debate. I love a pint or a glass of wine. I love the occasional late night party. I love to learn things from everyone and everything. I love hearing about different peoples family history and cultural differences.
PHILOSOPHY
"Every time it rains, it rains pennies from heaven. Don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven? You'll find your fortune falling all over town. Make sure your umbrella is upside down!"

Music, Movies, and Books
I love lots of different music, there's almost no particular genre I don't like in some form. BUT my favorites are upbeat and fun. I love Soul, Funk, classic Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Motown, Blues, Old Country, Folk, Big Band jazz, Klezmer, the occasional drop of disco. Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Cab Calloway and James Brown are amoung my very favorites. As for books...I need to read more. I really enjoyed Immortality by Milan Kundera and I like to read plays. I love Shakespeare. I could read Catcher in the Rye a million times. Recommend me something!Same goes for movies. I like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harold and Maude, all the Toy Story's, MGM musicals. I like lots but I bet my favorite one is waiting for me somewhere. I generally feel that way with everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was singing James Browns "Get Up Offa That Thing" as a part of a show in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. One night, instead of the usual encore, the audience yelled out "Get Up Offa That Thing!" and I think that was the most freedom I've ever experienced in my life. It was a blur, but I do remember being on the floor, singing and convulsing and the crowd screaming. I also remember all the musicians and I were sharing the mic, going where ever we wanted to on the stage and yelling out/singing (in true James Brown style) things such as "GET YO MAMA TO TUCK YOU INTO THAT FUNK"
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you tongue twisters and vocal techniques I suppose! I could teach you a joke or two and maybe some crazy clowning free flow energy sort of stuff. And you...you could teach me anything!
