About Me

I love meeting new and interesting people, sharing stories, and experiencing a diverse range of worldviews. I think getting to meet locals or fellow travelers when experiencing a new place lends a much richer dimension to the usual travel experience, and makes it less lonely! I'm a musician, primarily guitar but some piano too. I've had several amazing experiences via CS in the past and hope to have many more in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: far too much to name here but some of my favorite artists are The Beatles, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder and I loove Brazilian music. I've also been a radio DJ and otherwise engaged with music my whole life (play guitar, bass, some keys and produce) and am pretty much open to and listen to everything. last.fm/samcorr if you wanna see what I've been listening to :)

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Dune (the new one), The Fall, and Barry Lyndon are probably my all time favorites, but I'm pretty much open to anything.

Books: I love Hesse, Thornton Wilder, Rilke, and lots more. Currently trying to work through some classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first CS experience was staying on a narrow-boat in the canals of London, unforgettable! All the CS experiences I've had have been memorable and amazing. I've hitchhiked a bit in Ireland, drove across the US a few times, nothing too crazy. Always looking to add more to this list though! The kindness of random human beings never ceases to amaze me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Guitar, coffee stuff, ableton/music production, basic dj-ing and mixing skills.

Learn: I would love to learn more about growing food and other sustainable/homesteading/permaculture type practices, handyman skills, conversational Spanish, and holistic medicine and wellness. and recipes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been told I'm a good listener, so there's that. Really I'm down for anything, checking out interesting spots, helping with a project, sharing any bits of limited knowledge I may have to offer. Oh and music recommendations/lessons for sure!
