Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have just begun our Couchsurfing during this trip through Europe, but the few experiences we have had so far have been wonderful!

Interests

Music, movies, food! Those three things pretty much sum up who I am. I love playing the drums more than anything, and I also play the guitar a bit. I went to Penn State University as a media studies student, so film and music are basically my life. I also have spent the past few years working in different restaurants, so food has become a big part of my life as well. I really enjoy the peace that cooking brings me, and I enjoy eating good food even more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love anything directed by Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher, John Hughes, but most of all, Stanley Kubrick. Some of my favorite films excluding these directors are: Dazed & Confused, Into the Wild, Pans Labyrinth, City of God, Garden State, Lion King

Music: Led Zeppelin will always be my favorite but I truly believe I can enjoy any form of music. I really enjoy lots of classical music, particularly Baroque period and Russian Compositions. I also really enjoy early period Jazz and Blues recordings, as well as contemporary Hip-Hop,International Music, Heavy Metal, and just about anything else you can think of. Basically, if there is a genre, I know at least a couple of bands.

Books: Some of my favorite Authors include Chuck Palahniuk, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Albert Camus, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Joseph Heller. I am also currently reading the Game of Thrones Series and love Calvin & Hobbes comics!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the mountains for the first time in Iceland. We arrived on a foggy night, so we didn't really grasp where we were until the next morning when we woke up and saw the mountains around us. That awestruck feeling basically lasted the next 10 days until we left the country. Truly breathtaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a media student so I like to think I have a fairly vast knowledge of most forms of media including film, music, TV, literature, etc. I also enjoy performing music quite a bit and like to think of myself as a fairly good drummer and much less skilled guitarist. Cooking is also one of my favorite pastimes
