Overview
About Me
I'm from Ecuador (South America), I live in Nanjing, China nowadays with my wife because of Ph.D. studies. She is also undertaking doctoral studies. My first language is Spanish. English is my second language, and I'm learning Chinese nowadays (already have a basic-intermediate level proficiency 'HSK' 4). Before undertaking my Ph.D. studies in China, I've been carrying out a full-time career as an educator in different settings including formal an informal/alternative educative contexts, in schools, high schools, universities, local and international foundations and agencies devoted to Social work or Social/Humanitary Aid such as World Vision, Plan International, and Peace Corps.
I'm interested in building up my career as a researcher in Social and Educational issues. Not that interested in "long, big" parties, though in my free time I like socializing, hanging out with friends, meeting new ones around a couple drinks. I love music, -listening and playing the guitar. I also enjoy traveling and wandering around new places. I devote some of my free time to improve my still limited guitar-playing skills. Though a non-conventional believer, I'm also interested in Christian events, literature, and such matters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my first attempt, I'm coachsurfing because I need to attend to an important academic event for my career in San Francisco (Sonoma, Rohnert Park), and due to I'm living as a student nowadays, my budget is limited so I need to find one night for free at least. Besides, I'm coming from China but after a week in San Francisco, I'll be visiting my country (Ecuador) for a couple weeks, then return to China with another stop in San Francisco, So it's quite a long trip.
