Sam: I live to learn about the world and the people who made it, cause if you don´t learn and don't practice that, so you got nothing!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're just starting to actively participate in Couch Surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first experience in Couch Surfing was very nice, we stayed in a place with very nice people from Belém - PA, in Brazil. We made a good friendship with ours hosts, Avner and his friends. Even today we talk with Avner and we keep good memories about him and our first trip.
Em nossa segunda vez no couchsurfing, Conhecemos uma familia maravilhosa a da Say, edson edsinho layla e josh, pessoas adoraveis que sei que podemos todos pra sempre contar um com a outra. Pessoas para se levar para a vida toda sabe?

Logo em seguida passamos por tantas vidas, muitas gargalhadas em um quarto só. Tantos aprendizados, tantas historias, que acabamos ficando ricos de tantas coisas maravilhosas, somente experenciar vidas diferentes da tua, ja te abre a mente de como o mundo pode mudar e se expandir humildemente pelo universo em conjunto.

Interests

Sam: I love music, whether playing songs or just listening, I usually to cook(especially for dear friends!!!) and that´s one of my greatest passion.
Max: I´m 100% an artist. I love music and cinema and I have a thing for making conversations. I´m essentially a blues musician, so I play a few instruments like harmonica and guitar. But despite my inclination to the Blues I know the music from my country very well, I even know how to play a lot of brasilian songs, principally the Afro-Sambas, a few things about Bossa-Nova and my big especiallity: the great Jorge Ben and songs from Tropicalia. I can equally spend a lot of time talking about this kind of music, since I grew up surrounded it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sam: Music - Any songs below the 70´s. Except for Glam Rock. hehehe.
Cinema - I got a lot of movies on my mind so it´s hard to me to number them. But I have a thing by classics. Always watch the classics!
Books - I like biographies of artists. But my favorite books are Tom Sawyer and the Omen(I like the book as much as I like the movie)
MAX: I like Blues and Rock´n´Roll, I live for that, but my inclination is by the Blues, as I said before. My favorite Blues musicians is Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, R.L. Burnside, Charley Patton and all the greatests names who made the Blues. About brasilian music I like the old times of Tropicalia and every kind of music that makes a parallel with the Afrian Music.
I have a varied taste about movies. I like from the old classics like Casablanc to the movies without brain from the 80´s. About books, I'm always reading, doesn't matter what. I´ve a great passion for Pablo Neruda and his poetry. He taught me how to love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sam: Surely the most impressive thing that I done was my great trip through Brazil. I took just RS$ 300(something like US$ 100!)into my pocket, put a backpack and went out to know my country, hitchhiking, privileging the small towns. That was the great learned of my life. The second most incredible thing that I done was drop my old life when I decided to marry. We are a very happy couple!
MAX: Most incredible thing? Was to decide to be a musician and dedicate myself to doing it. But nothing could be possible without my wife´s support. She´s still my best realization.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sam:Always! Like Max said, I like to share my stories about travels around my country, where I saw, heard and learned so much about my own people and how they feel.

MAX: I'm always trying to learn something about music and looking for new instruments. As for my talent allows me, I like to teach the songs I know. I'm not so traveled as my wife, but I consider myself a good listener stories, especially if the stories are theses on other lands that I never know.
