About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Let my gut have a say

ABOUT ME

Grew up outside DC, went to school outside LA, worked for a year in Boston then ran away to Madrid, which didn't disappoint. Spent two years living abroad and my wanderlust has only grown, so I'm diving into an around-the-world trip. I love good conversations, learning and teaching, all things sociology, music, movies, books, food, the outdoors, dancing, and adventures. Let's have some!

PHILOSOPHY

"A non-toothache is very pleasant."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always happy to meet up with fellow travelers in Madrid, always grateful to the generous souls who host me on my travels abroad.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started as a surfer and met many kind folks on my trips through the States and Europe. I can't express how big a difference this made to my travels. This year I've had an amazing time hosting travelers in Madrid--I've learned a lot, had some great times, and have loved having the chance to give and receive. Now I'm hitting the road again and am looking forward to the adventures that await with CSers across the globe!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a week floating down the Amazon on a riverboat...hugged a sloth, fished for pirhanas, swam with pink dolphins, and got bug bites that lasted for months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share and learn by playing music with others. I play guitar, bass, and a little keyboard. Let's jam!

I spend a fair bit of time thinking about education, inequality, and globalization. Would love to swap ideas on these topics or anything related.

I'm hoping to learn more about farming, cooking, diet, yoga, and meditation on this trip, and am open to whatever else might pique my interest along the way.
