ABOUT ME

I am flexible and patient. I hate hurting other people, and I do everything I can to be sure that I am not a burden on others. I'm always satisfied with the moment, and I am always thinking about what could be better tomorrow.

I am 20 years old. I grew in Salem Oregon and am now studying at Georgetown University in Washington DC. My major, Science Technology and International Affairs with a concentration in Environment and Energy, reflects my interest in the globe and renewable energy sources. I dream of owning my own coffee shop, but out of university I plan on being a rock climbing guide.

PHILOSOPHY

When something is wrong, breathe in, and then breathe out.

Reality is not something we will ever fully understand. We can only know it through our limited faculties, and therefore our personal realities are most influenced by us! Good things and bad things will happen in life for all people, but optimists and pessimists live in completely different worlds. When I choose to be an optimist, I am empowering myself to be able to give more to others.

And it is clear to me that I must give more to others. I have been so fortunate at many moments in my life, and it all began with my wonderful parents. I am at a karmic deficit that I must work to fix whenever possible by being the good luck in someone else's life.

I ask questions. I want to know everything there is to know, but if that is not possible I hope to learn two things when I travel to a new country: What pieces of history do you feel are important, and is your country at the end of history, or is there something big coming up in the future.

Interests

I have one passion in life: rock climbing. This has guided many of my travels. I also enjoy listening to live music. Rock music is my favorite, but recently I have come to love dancing to electronic music as well. I also like to see beautiful places. I enjoy hiking and biking landscapes, but my favorite spot is always at the summit of a peak where you can turn in 360 degrees and feel that you are in heaven gazing upon the land.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a rally for immigration reform and it felt amazing to be one of 80,000 people marching to the capitol to demand change
