About Me

Hey, I'm from Melbourne and have just finished my studies in business/finance. I am now exploring the world starting with Europe then working my way over to the America's. My favourite part of travelling is always cultural exchange, the emotional reward seems to stick with me much greater than the memory of beautiful place. I love meeting local people and sharing stories and traditions; it's why I travel.

I'm a pretty outgoing, energetic person, with a good sense of humour and a very easy going nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Theres no better way to get inside another culture than to experience it first hand with a local, and gaining cultural perspective is one of the main reasons I travel. Couch surfing just seems like the next logical step for me.

Interests

I'm into sport, especially Basketball, meditation, languages, reading, working out, olympic weightlifting, psychology, swimming, snowboarding, surfing and wine/viticulture.

Music, Movies, and Books

It really depends for music, I have a very broad range but I listen to a lot of old school house and disco, some techno and tech house, but also really enjoy old school rock.
I like cult fiction and foreign movies, love my South Korean and Japanese flicks and documentaries.
My favourite author is Bukowksi, but I read a lot of psychology based books.
Dan Gilbert - stumbling upon happiness is up there for me as a favourite read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea over a 7 day period, along side spending time in a remote village off the northern island. Was hugely rewarding and gruelling hike, and one not many people have done due to the nature and danger of the region.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Australian customs (basically just drinking games), share my vast general knowledge and try and teach you french!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, knowledge of wine/finance/economics, cooking techniques and recipes from my family (best caramel slice in the world, I'm convinced).

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, England, France, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, United States, Uruguay
