UPDATE: I work fulltime and live in Frankfurt most of the time. Usually 15days away from Home/month due to work.

My Name is Sam and I´m form Germany. I quit my job and flat in Karlsruhe to travel until running out of money. Atm I'm hitchhiking in finland and russia. My next mission is to ride the transsib to lake baikal. I like good food, adventures and exploring new places and things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It´s just super nice! Now I'm "back" after not using CS for some years.
While travelling I had such great experiences, especially in middle east and Russia. Somedays I´d like to give it back.

Interests

I´m interested in almost all outdoor activities, I love sports and music (until recently I played the drums in two bands), the whole world is fascinating me and I´m thinking about it all the time, I like talking to new and open minded people and traveling of course!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the book about Chris McCandless "Into the Wild". As favourite I'd consider "The Alchemist" from Paulo Coelho. Recently started working through my own canon of worth reading books and particularly enjoyed Casanova, short story of mankind, bello gallico and Tacitus' Germania.

Music mainly Rock&Pop, when I was younger eletronic music was the thing. Nowadays its wonderful to listen to a reassuring classical concert or some Jazz in the backround. It depends on the atmosphere. Just to name a few bands I like Toto, Coldplay, Queen, London Grammar, M83, Hans Zimmer.

Movies with a preceding true story. La haine is very interesting but also unknown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think Petra was the most impressive thing I saw so far...

Hiking alone on top of the Great Wall of China.

Did the transsib thing and got to swim in lake baikal on Olkhon island when it was like -15°C outside.
