Overview
About Me
Hi all, I'm Sami! I am here to gain memories and experiences with the lovely and open minded people of this world. I am a very tidy person and find it important to remain respectful in any surrounding especially someone's home. I am currently traveling and unable to host, though look forward to doing so in the future-stay tuned :) I see myself as one who thrives on nature, spiritual growth and sunshine. I believe we all have gifts to share and I strive to stay open the lifes opportunities while still functioning to some degree of structure. Ask me anything, stalk me on the Facebook or IG, open books are nice to read eh? Hope to talk soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think I explained this above, but going further I find it amazing the amount of ways to connect on social media. I'm here to take better advantage of this freedom by finding like minded people and adventures we may find together or even to offer ideas on a subject. I would love to live in a barter society and perhaps this is a gateway to this. If I stay in your home while traveling and theres anything I can do to offer help or assistence, I hope you would not hesitate to ask, if I don't offer specifically because of distraction and excitment! I admire those so open offering their homes to travelers such as myself. Given my professions things like cleaning, cooking, laundry and doting are far from foreign to me. I am the guest who'd like to make your life easier for the time we are to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
I get down to the Blues. JJ Mofro and David Grey, Muddy Waters, Tom Waits and Keb Mo are definitely some favs. I truly appreciate all melodies, but we all have a certain style we vibe to. I love to dance, it feeds the soul!
As far as books... I love poetry. Authors like Kahlil Gibran, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, Rumi, Edgar Allen Poe, Oriah Mountain Dancer and so many more really speak to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One summer I biked ten miles on the coast of southeast Alaska with all my belongings on my back, camped out at a friends cabin overlooking the sea, woke up for sunrise over Grace Ridge(a beloved mountain) went wild berry picking barefoot through the forest for breakfast whilst feasting on salmon berries and raspberry bushes; didnt have a care in the world outside of making enough noise to let bear and moose know where I am so we can keep our healthy distance :) To say I love playing outside is an understatement. it brings me the peace I require to recharge my batteries and stay connected to this beautiful life.
Teach, Learn, Share
"When it's all over Id like to say I was a bride, married to amazement. I was the bridegroom taking the world into my arms."-Mary Oliver
"Movement is life, life is a process. Improve the quality of that process and you improve life itself. -Moshe Fendelkrais
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whatever naturally comes! Some of my favorite things are connecting, cooking, trekking, drinking good wine, campfires, yoga, laughing...to do these with another can be pure joy. I love yoga and would be happy to share my knowledge on this if one is interested. Where I am from we really enjoy the gifts of nature and what she provides. For fun I camp, I run, I ride, I ski and float.... Id love to share any and all that I can! Afterall, we're all on this world together. Isn't life grand??? :-)
