About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to believe that I've made the right choices and that I'm on the right path and there's still time to fix the mistakes I've made

ABOUT ME

I'm quite the globe-trotting gal. Or so I'd like to think. It all comes down to $$$ in the end. Funds. Or lack of. I love traveling. Meeting new people, trying new food, learning new languages, and experiencing different cultures. Y'know the drill. [teen sass] Like, it's really exciting and stuff. [/teen sass]. The idea of staying in one place forever scares the hell out of me. Mostly because I get bored and just... want out. Mostly. It's exhausting. Really exhausting. I wish I would calm the effing down, but there are still lots of countries, cities, villages, and tribes that need to be crossed off the list. Calming down is not an option. Not for the next 10 years. Or so.

I've lived in a few places throughout my life. Places that have contributed to the makings of me. In every little twisted way. Like in that Beatles' song: all these places have their moments with lovers and friends I still can recall. Right now Canada is what I call home. West coast small town Canada. AWESOME-STATIC.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing wins more hearts and minds and nothing gives more freedom than education; and nothing is a better deterrent for conflict than an educated society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fairly new to the couchsurfing community, but I have hosted a couple of people, and stayed with a few others. I want, however, to become a more active member of the community and to learn more about it and share my experiences.

Interests

I like to discuss world issues. Politics, economics, war, history, geography, world religions... this sort of thing that pi**** most people off. Love 'em. I'm not always 100% informed about everything, but I do have an opinion. I know it's annoying, but, hey! I love stupid, irrelevant stuff too. I talk gibberish all the time. Y'know. Chill. Pill. Can't be always stiff and prissy 'bout serious crap.

I'm a fairly quiet person. Fairly quiet. Books, music, tons of TV and movies. These are the kind of quiet stuff that get me through the day. That said, I'm a bit ADD, which means I get bored easily and cannot sit still for extended periods of time. I know. Nothing scientific. Self diagnosis is totally safe in this case. It actually contradicts the quiet bit a bit. To be fair, I said fairly. Stressed fairly. So. Just. Go. With. It. Please?

And, obviously, I love to travel. I'm constantly on the road and I don't want to stop.

Love 'em all and love to be introduced to new things. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pull-out couch in a shared space. I'm in one of Vancouver's most vibrant neighbourhoods, less than a 30 minute walk to Commercial Drive's bars, pubs, and restaurants. Easy access to public transit. 15 minute bus ride or bike ride to downtown.
