About Me
Hello hello :)
I'm Samir. I am a data scientist for political campaigns and government contracts. Easy going guy who enjoys rich conversation. I like learning about art, foods, religions, and people's stories. I'm new to DC but happy to explore it with friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to prioritize meeting people over seeing sights. I'm also excited to share my perspective with visitors who come to visit Washington DC.
Interests
I'm quite keen on improving my German, and I love learning about local wines/beers (maybe too much beer haha). Often, I am also found rowing, playing with my camera, or practicing meditation. When I'm visiting your city, I am probably most interested in meeting locals and seeing historical architecture :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Perhaps 'brave,' rather than 'amazing.' I withdrew from college for a year to travel in Africa, America, and Europe :) I also used the time to work at two incredible startup companies, and the UN. Ask me about it, I'm happy to share!
Teach, Learn, Share
I care a lot about what I study—especially economic inequality and democracy. Lots of knowledge of wilderness medicine and emergency medicine, American culture, currency markets and central banking, and rowing.
