About Me

I' m a 25 year old mexican student, fond of travelling and meeting new people. I like to hear new stories, and get to know different cultures through open minded travellers. I studied litterature, and I just finished my masters degree in Creative Writing. (Yes, i would like to be a writer, no I don't wear a sombrero :) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to get to know the city in a different way. I like staying at hostels because you meet a lot of people and have a lot of activities but I feel that its is difficult to actually leave the touristy side behind and explore other available options. I have also discovered also that you can make really good friends via CS and they will hopefully show you their own experience of their stay in their city: not necessarily by taking you to a new place but also by sharing their story and talking with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

The death of Virgil, Rayuela, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, David Brubeck, jazz a lot of jazz, but also John Mayer, Radiohead, Salsa, Cumbia, Rock, Huapango, the science of sleep, Eyes Wide Shut, Blow up!, 2666, La divina comedia, Los detectives salvajes, Rayuela, Under the volcano, For whom the bell tolls, Hemingway in general, Lars von Trier etc. Open to new artistic suggestions please

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

–Travel to India with a low budget and arrive to Nepal from Delhi by bus. After three days stuck in a bus you really get to be friends with the locals

–Left México 6 years ago to move across Europe. So far so good: lived in 3 countries in 6 years and counting!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my impressions on Mexican culture (except mariachis and chili con carne and all that stuff that is actually not mexican), nomadism, literature, travelling and whatever trying to become a writer means, so some good stories also!

I would like to learn recipes from other people. It's the best way to remember them afterwards ;) I can myself teach some too.

What I Can Share with Hosts
