About Me

Samira - this is me. Originally I am Iran, but I moved abroad in 2015 to study Telecommunication and lived in Austria since then. Not yet sick of studying; But sometimes thinking why just one topic while there are a lot of interesting. I am working on my PhD, ending up in Vienna.
I am sensitive, introspective, patient and hard working and interested in any kind of feeling. I am smart (some says) but I often feel like I don't know enough about anything of the world. I can listen to people but also speak for hours, especially about my mood, my travel stories and my ideals. I am naive but know most of the time what I want and for those things I can fight for. I try to be positive, but honestly, sometimes I am not. Which doesn't mean that I am not enthusiastic (I express this through my passion for high-fives)!
I am adventurous and don't like if life is easy and predictable. Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves and find a wonderful, hidden world - isn't it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always glad when I can help people, it doesn't matter if they are friends or strangers. It makes me very happy if I can host people at my place. I like to hear their stories and try to make them feel comfortable in the country I'm living. But now I am living in a small room like Vincent's room: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedroom_in_Arles#/media/File:Vincent_van_Gogh_-_De_slaapkamer_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg and not so comfortable for you (as you wish:)).
I like to stay with locals when visiting some places to be a part of them, to live with them, to smell and feel like them, to learn from them, to see more new cultures of them and to become more open-minded.

Interests

I love art. I love realistic paintings and photography. I like reading books, going to the cinema (I love film festivals - documentaries, ...), going to the theater, museums, hiking, singing in a group and playing piano. Ping-pong is the sport I like the most.
I love to talk about feelings, drink coffee or tea, walk in the streets, take a nap in the sun or walk in the rain and listen to the wind. Whatever is nature, it is good.
Also some measurements in an anechoic chamber :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My Mom was a teacher in the primary school and sometimes when she was sick, I was going instead. I know how to teach :). If anyone is interested in learning Persian, I can help.
I also LOVE to learn from CSs' experiences and learn many new things from people. Feel your soul and let it travel all across the world, It's the journey not the destination as we know.
