Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Here to meet like minded people with a travel bug and willing to share life and travel experiences. A friend of mine also recommended for me to join it because she had very great experiences when traveling and decided I could give it a shot. So far I must admit it is quite something indeed and the knowledge I have gained from it has helped out a lot. I have traveled my whole life whether it be with family or mainly work and I a hoping that being on this site will help expand world even more.

Interests

My few interests include , books, national monuments of historical significance such as big ben and the pyramids of Egypt. I do enjoy a little cultural immersion when in a somewhat different cultural setting. Black and white movies and a must for every human being to experience with an emphasis on the silent kind. I enjoy food , the weirder it may seem the better it is for me and a challenge I must attempt. Parks and sometimes a little heated conversation to pick once's brain is something I find very interesting and a source of another persons passionate opinion. If it outdoors, I am always down for whatever it may be (ample rest permitting).

Music, Movies, and Books

I cannot have a favorite form of music , however i find myself a little more prejudice towards reggae and the message it brings to the world (mainly Bob Marley). If its a black and white film, and especially a silent kind, I will find time to watch it. Do not really have a favorite book but who turns down a good political satire novel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pretty vast drawer of knowledge and travel experience stemming mainly from work related travel and also a little of personal travel. Safety is key for anyone and is something I find of many travelers that is often omitted when planning a trip, whether a 5 hour ride away form home or 8 connecting flights away and half way around the world, people tent to overlook the idea of it and is something I enjoy teaching people mainly self defense tactics and small negotiating skills. I would love to learn more from many of you. I love to cook for my guests or even when I am someone else guest. Food can either make or break an experience and if fundamental that I must try something new when traveling or make something for a host. Art and dancing are two things I can offer as well. Shameless dancing is tolerated in my book however I do enjoy a good lesson any form of traditional or cultural dance moves anywhere from hip hop dance to even Celtic moves.
