About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience it like you live there

ABOUT ME

I'm a Canuck, and a frenchie (though I challenge you to pick up any accent :), and have been living in the US for 10 years - Phoenix, Arizona to be exact. Having grown up on the US-Canada border, it really wasn't a big leap for me to move to the US and experience what it's like to live there.

I really enjoy seeing new places although I'm guilty of visiting somewhere I like repeatedly. I feel a need to explore more than I ever have before and along the way seize the opportunity to make plenty of great friends. I can do that a lot easier from someone's "couch" than I can from a hotel room.

PHILOSOPHY

Does anyone really live by a single philosophy? Well here's one out of my book - Take what life gives you & make your way with it, but don't always wait for life to throw something in your lap - sometimes you just have make things happen.

We'll talk about all my other philosophies later!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first extended experience will be driving from the Santa Cruz/Monterey area to the Laguna Beach area. My only rule is to travel the coastal highway all the way. Originally I had planned to stay in the Humboldt State Park and travel down from there. Unfortunately, given my available time frame, I would have spent most of my time in the car - not fun!

Interests

I love exploring new places, even the ones close to home.

Mountain biking rates high on my list of activities I love. It takes me away from it all. There is something about riding desert trails and mountains that is just so different than any other environment I've ridden in.

Running & Hiking - whether it's deep in a pine forest or conquering a steep desert mountain.

Living in the desert get one starved for water sports - I wish I had more opportunity to do so.

Good wine with good food and good company - I love it!
