About Me

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Santiago María López Piuma, known as Samlo (www.samlo.es) as an artist. I am a 24 year old Argentine designer and illustrator who is currently living in Spain.

In addition to my professional work, I am a student at the University of Navarre in Pamplona where I study audiovisual communication. After attending three years of architecture school at the University of Buenos Aires, I decided to change my life and pursue my childhood passion by embarking on a drawing based professional career. I have a multifaceted profile allowing me to adapt to any environment while using my greatest asset, creative thinking. I like to experiment with new formulas, materials, and media, exploring new paths and opening up exciting new possibilities.

Also I want to meet awesome people to reach my humanity and to show to them that they can have a friend and a creative partner to produce whatever they want. I love talking to people and to listen to them, connecting with others is something that helped me in my artistic world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel and learning about different cultures always has been big part of my life and being an Audiovisual Content Producer is part of that experience too. My objective is to hang out with my new Couchsurfing friends, discover broad perspectives and insights from different people. I was born in Buenos Aires Argentina but, since I decided to leave my career and embarked on this drawing professional career, my life changed. I'm living in Spain since 2015 where I worked with different companies as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Pepsi, Anaya Editorial, Animation Cinema Producers, etc. I visited Paris (where I lived as a Paris guy during ten days), Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan for Italy, I also lived in Portugal during one month and I spent ten days in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
My dream? to become an American and travel around the world
