Overview
About Me
I love to meet (cool and quirky) people and cut through the small-talk. At a party, you're likely to see me bypass the chat about the weather and how long our commutes to work are and find someone to sit in the corner with and talk about real issues (and by 'real' I mean 'naughty' and 'inappropriate').
I love to travel (like everyone on here): highlights include building a school in the Peruvian town Shitabamba (if only for the name), working at an home for HIV+ orphans in Ghana, and doing my university exchange in Bangkok. When touring, I don't like to be 'tied down' by travel plans (a go-with-the-wind kinda guy), so tend to book accommodation/tickets on the morning-of.
I'm pretty easy going - just as happy to rock along to Meatloaf at a big concert as I am to Edith Piaf next to my sick grandma. I think meditation is the best thing ever. Studied psychology and marketing, so hoping to hack into peoples' lives for a living - in a socially responsible way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What a mess the world is in these days! I believe that having authentic (and somewhat intimate) experiences with people from different cultures is the best way for a ground-up approach to world peace. For how, if we do not understand each other, can we move beyond our differences and realise that we are all the same - human beings seeking happiness, connection, and belonging.
