ABOUT ME

I've been running a small record label based in Québec City called P572 since 2004. I've played and booked hundreds of shows and we've released 60 albums by local bands and friends from around the world. I want to create beautiful and important things.

I've also been busy playing music and touring with bands like (swedish) Death Polka, Lesbo Vrouven and Oromocto Diamond.

I will be on tour with OROMOCTO DIAMOND in Europe May 21rd to June 7nd 2015.

I want to be part of the solution. I have a handful of friends with so much talent that it keeps me up at night and it makes me get up in the morning. There's always something beautiful to create.

I am always grateful to have a place to sleep while on tour and we always wanted a record label house where friends and musicians could sleep good, always read some good books and listen to exciting new music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been thinking about music and books every single day for the past 9 years. One morning I had my four wisdom tooth extracted at the same time. I went back home bloody and confused. I did not talk for a couple of days and in a feverish dream I had the idea of creating a dental plan for all my friends on the label. When I woke up I realized it would never make enough money releasing music to have full teeth coverage. So I turned toward something simple, printing tooth brushes and a books. Small objects that would remind us that we need to take care of each other and work together.
The music part of what I do has been obvious over the years with all the songs and shows we've played. This time it's about the revolution. About thinking of our friends every single day from the moment they wake up, to minutes before they go back to bed.
Tooth brushes are just a silly symbol of what we need to become, poetics, politics, action and art. It's a moment in time for me to think differently about what we do and have fun.
