G’day! Im a media and marketing graduate that’s travelling before the world of corporate greed sucks me in! I’ve always been a traveller having first travelled by myself at 16, and never intend on stopping.

I love to immerse myself in all cultures, visit as much of the world as I can and meet interesting and diverse people. I am always down to have a good time and try new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having lived overseas twice now, I understand how much an experience can change when you’re with a local in a city and completely immersed in the culture with them. It’s an invaluable experience that couch surfing luckily lets us have.

Music, Movies, and Books

For me television and movies are an escape. So you’ll normally find me watching some sort of mindless comedy (Brooklyn 99, friends etc) but changing the subtitles into whatever language I’m currently learning. I’m also a GOT fan (but have some how still not seen final season) and my guilty pleasure are definitely period dramas (Downton Abbey, Pride & Prejudice)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Mexico is a whole encompassing experience in itself. This guerrita can now talk casi-chilango and banda the night away doing a scorpion of mezcal beforehand. (And if you don’t know what these are, we’re in for a fun time!).

Highlights have also included swimming with whale sharks and hiking a volcano to see it exploding at night. These were truly humbling experience of nature that reminded me of our place in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love a good language exchange and would love to help in English if you would like it. Or French or spanish if that’s what you’re more into!

Photography is a little passion of mine and whilst I am not a pro, always happy to show some photo editing tips and tricks!

I'm also trying to teach myself HTML5 / CSS / basic coding just to see where it takes me. Would love to meet up with any coders just to ask questions / get some wisdom!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking for people! I think the best way to a persons heart is through their stomach and I also thoroughly enjoy the experience of us sharing a meal together. Whilst I wouldn’t call myself a masterchef, I can always fashion up something good - even a meal out of hostel food! Also whilst this is completely normal in Aus, everyone get surprised about me being able to cook noodles? Whilst there might not be an Asian grocery store nearby, always love the challenge of working with local ingredients and teaching people how to cook (pseudo) pad khee mao or mi goreng.

I of course will also offer to help out with any cleaning that needs to be done. If I’m with you it’s my responsibility too.
