My roots are from Sri Lanka but born and raised in Manchester, United Kingdom. After some hardship in adolescence, I decided to get out and see the world. I now work as a Airline Pilot/First Officer for British Airways. I love to try out new things, laugh and smile to kill as many cancer cells per day for people around me and for myself as possible. Looking forward to go further and farther with optimism in my heart.

My job enables me to travel around the world. And so, I would love to meet as many people as I can during my stops. If you happen to receive an email/message from me, pls do reply and if possible, Let's meet up for coffee/drink/travel or party!!! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of people coming together, learning about each other's cultures, talking about each other's passion and experiences. It is always interesting to meet travellers and hosts alike. Everyone have different views of life. Most if not all travellers are optimistic and positive. It is motivating and uplifting in some ways.

I very much enjoyed making friends with hosts, hang out with them and go partying.

But also getting to know some local people as I travel became one of the things I enjoyed the most about traveling.

I might get to know you and you never know, you might become one of my closest friends of a life time! Friends? well, I am talking about brotherhood / sisterhood! ;-)

I consider that knowledge is a resources that belongs to the humanity and not to just one person or a limited number of privileged group of people.

I would like to share what I know with people so long as it is useful to their immediate life and they would make a use out of it for a good cause. And I think it's a great idea to teach, share, and learn !!

I can teach languages that I speak and the way we can acquire other languages easier, based on the knowledge. I accrued from my experiences in living in multilingual environment and through studying linguistics.
