About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to build a boat, learn to fix people,

ABOUT ME

I enjoy very open company. I have a ridiculous sense of humor. It takes a lot to phase me. I have heard so many ridiculous stories; I love to hear about peoples travels, especially if it involves music. Music means the world to me. In my life, I was fortunate enough to experience music from all over the world from Western Classical, Baroque, East African, Thomas Mapfumo, Afrobeat, Salsa, Cuban, Bosa Nova, Lambada, South Indian carnatic, Arabic, Hip hop, top 40, classic rock...the list goes on.
anyways,

I'm an aspiring musician, and med student. I play the flute. It's probably my favorite thing to do...that and building things. I'm a huge fan of architecture. So far I made a wooden bed, and a saw table. I want to build my own house one day. One of my favorite experiences has been with Habitat for Humanity, building houses.

I love dancing it's pretty sweet.

couch surfing is awesome, along with craigs list. Both have changed the way we do things, and it unites like minded people.
If anything, it gets people off their lazy ass to meet each other, hang out, like back in the day!

PHILOSOPHY

some of live mundane lives, some have exciting ones. I'm never sure which one I have, but I can certainly use more excitement.
I'm a very passive person, huge fan of Gandhi, Lec Walesa, Tilak, and Mark Twain.
We need to make fun of ourselves, humor exposes our humanity.
we need to learn to see the other point of view.
we need to learn to relax, stop judging, and realize that they have it shitty too.

There are so many incredible people in this world, I would like to meet some of them. I don't buy the whole Rolling Stones top 100 guitar players list. Some of the greatest musicians live humble lives playing a banjo on their front porch.

We need to live free, free from dogma, free from "tradition for the sake of tradition."
we need to question "why?' more often.

we need to talk to people, face to face, people don't that very often anymore.

come visit me i'll make a sweet grilled cheese sand witch!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am definitely willing to share my home with people where ever I am. In this corporate world of hotels costing $100+ per night, it's nice to know that other options exist. Couch surfing is an incredible way of meeting new people.
I'm fairly busy, but I'm willing to take people around town if time permits, show them around, take them to music shows, snorkeling, whatever Curacao has to offer.

I make a mean grilled cheese.
that's pretty much most of what I've got to offer.
I'm a broke med college student, and I'm assuming that most of the people that come couch surf with me are in similar situations.
I don't discriminate at all. Just respect me and my home, and we'll have a great time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to couch surf for years, stopped for a while, picked it up again! I've certainly hosted people plenty of times, it's been loads of fun. Who knew random strangers could be so interesting...everyone has a crazy story.
One time I housed a musician who is an aspiring rapper.
Next time I'm in NY, we're gonna do a flute/hip hop track!

Interests

song writing, building things, reading crazy shit, outrageous humor, snowboarding, playing my flute, pingpong, snorkeling, longboarding, longboarding :)
