ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Sammy from Ottawa, Canada!

I graduated university last year studying International Development with a minor in Sociology, and I'm so not ready for a career yet 🙈😅

I currently work as an online English teacher teaching students all over China. My students are mostly between the ages of 5-8, but many are older. I love it!!

Kind of just kickin' it for now, pursuing some creatives hobbies, and just trying to enjoy my 20s before I have to grow up too fast ;)

I am currently unable to host because I am still living at home, and the rest of my family is opposed to the idea. However, I hope to return the favour in the future!

I see Couchsurfing as an opportunity to meet new people first and foremost 😁

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with many extremely interesting and kind hosts within North America, and have met up with several travellers through couchsurfing! It's a great community of like-minded individuals!

...whoa that was a lot harder than expected 😅

I'm pretty big into photography but I've been lacking inspiration lately. I do mostly street photography / whatever I find interesting. Shooting mostly on a Sony RX100 these days.

My absolutely favorite thing to do is probably just walking the streets of big cities. I could do it for days at a time and never get bored!!

I also love writing fiction (non-fiction I guess too if I'm in the mood for it). I wrote a book last year that I'm looking to get published soon after a few quick edits!!
