About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore. Places, people, food, life!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going girl, pretty relaxed about everything but very passionate too! I enjoy trying new things, seeing new places, eating new foods and meeting new people, hence I have joined this brilliant looking site. My friends have recommended it and it looks hopeful.

I have studied animal behaviour and worked in a variety of roles in my employment history - I've worked with elderly people, babies, children, animals, with medicines, running a pet shop. Like I said, I like to try a lot of things!

Currently living in Getxo which is beautiful, I am looking for new people to hang out with, learn about each other and see what we have to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to enjoy everything life throws at you.
And have more patience

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so good...

Interests

Good food and drink are one of my passions - I will try anything once! At the moment I am spending a lot of my time exploring my local area on foot as that's how I get a feel of a place. I enjoy photography but am no expert - my camera has a little dust on it at the moment as my little compact one fits in my bag better!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that grabs my attention. I like movies like Inception and Minority Report but can just as easily settle down with a cup of tea and watch a Disney film.

James Patterson books, easy-to-read crime. Jodie Picoult is good. I will read most things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping out in the bush in South Africa with nothing but a torch and a sleeping bag will always be a vivid memory. Scared out of my wits but enjoying every moment, I wouldn't change a thing. Except maybe that I could get a little more sleep! But the sounds of rhinos, lions and hyenas nearby kept me awake and alert. There are no words to describe the awe I felt at being in these animals' territory - immense.

Travelling around Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Australia was a great few days. I went on my own and the group of about 12 people I was with were fantastic - again, sleeping out in the bush, this time with kangaroos and scorpions, was an amazing experience and one I would do again and again. The wildlife of Australia is brilliant. Was where I held my first snake. And the obligatory koala.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always keen to learn something new, whether it be information, cooking, a skill. The last skill I learnt was to knit - although never became an expert!

I will share everything I have.
