ABOUT ME

I'm a student, full of enthusiasm and passion for studying, who likes to meet friendly people, learning world and it's variety of cultures.
People, languages, sport, culture, philosophy, life - these are my passions, my true reasons to live for.
Like to ruin stereotypes about nations, like to integrate the people of the world in one great community, like to talk about not simple things :), like to show my own country and city to others.

PHILOSOPHY

Catch the moment!
My philosophy has changed a lot during the last years, but in general I'd like to say, that there's no absolute goals or fundamental motivations to live for the human being - our unique nature allows us to choose our destiny by ourselves, with the help of our activity, communication skills and something in the brain,
people are unique, they create that kind of the Union within Diversity, "e pluribus unum" - I hope, it's easier to understand :). That's why meetings with other people from different countries, representatives of various cultures is a very-very interesting and really outstanding side of our modern life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not a big fan of the empty floors in the hotels, I'm not one of those who will surely share the common room with 6 other people in a hostel, so I prefer a little bit of security/guaranteed safety.
There is almost no other way to find out, whom you will be living with, with the help of personal info of the host and due to the references/feedback so about him, his house and hospitality.

It is also a great possibility to meet here local people who will be able to show you not these mainstream places and city sights - you can do it in google earth or similar programs. Not usual routes in the city, pubs with locals and streets without crowds of tourists - that is definitely mine.

Interests

Have a big collection of football scarves from different countries - about 120 or 130 scarves, I don't remember, to be frank :).
Like watching really cool movies with great actors, have a big experience here :) .

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite director: Stanley Kubrick, his movies "The Shining", "Eyes wide shut" and "Full metall jacket" I consider to be masterpieces.
Also I adore movies of Martin Scorcese, Milos Forman, brothers Coen, Q. Tarantino and Francis Ford Coppola, with great actors like Al Pacino, Jack Nickolson, Robert de Niro and many-many others.
Favourite literature: historical genre, books of philosophers of the ancient times and of the existentialist movement in philosophy (Sartre), neofreudist aspect of psychology (Fromm).
Favourite music: from Coldplay to Led Zeppelin, from Depeche Mode to Moby, from Portishead to Guns and Roses, from RHCP to the Beatles.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course, some Ukrainian words and phrases, which will help you to understand the psycological aspect of our nation better :) - also I can teach you how to cook some dishes of the Ukrainian cuisine,
can tell you a lot about history, geography and football (opened for the information from your side).
But please teach me how to be motivated and not to be lazy. I'm too lazy to find it out by myself :D
