ABOUT ME

Well, it's actually about us. We are two mates, Matt (Knoxy) and Sam both from Auckland New Zealand. We went to the same high school and have been good mates ever since.

Early last year over a couple of 'quiet' beverages we decided to give up our jobs (Sam in I.T and Knoxy in construction) which we have been slaving away at since graduating from Uni to travel the world.
So we booked one-way flights, handed in our resignations and sold up our belonging and embarked on our trip.

Our first stop was South East Asia, where we spent 8 months travelling and also working in hostels in Vietnam and Cambodia. Next we travelling to India over two months heading from south to North by local trains. Our next move took us to LA where we brought a car, which took us to 23 states over two months before saying fair well to our Mazda minivan 10,000 miles later in New York.

Now we are on our final stage of our trip, Europe. First stop Portugal!

This is our first time surfing. Travelling in South East Asia is easy to meet people both tourists and locals alike through staying and working in hostels. This means you get plenty of chance to socialise with likeminded people and locals...

India has been a lot tougher, therefore we have turned to Couchsurfing as a way of doing this!

Saving a few $$$ is also nice too when you are intending on travelling for two years.

兴趣

We both are self confessed sports addicts, rugby in particular. Sam also having a particular love of cricket.

Growing up in NZ has made us game for any sort of outdoor activity be it in the waves, the snow or bush.

We are also down for a drink and a party when the occasion calls for it.

TV shows - Entourage has become our go-to on quiet nights throughout our travels.

We have slightly differing tastes in Music, Sam is into electronic and hip hop whereas Knoxy loves your classic tunes of years gone by.
