One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first Himalayan trek was Hampta Pass, and I thought, “How hard can it be?” Turns out, the Himalayas don’t care about your confidence. From lush green valleys to stark, snow-covered landscapes, the trek felt like walking through different worlds in just a few days. The thrill of crossing the pass, battling unpredictable weather, and seeing the dramatic contrast of Spiti on the other side—pure magic.

The next year, I traveled to Ladakh and Kashmir, expecting to feel the same high. Oh boy, was I wrong. The views were stunning, the altitude was higher, but nothing came close to the raw, unfiltered rush of completing Hampta Pass.
