ABOUT ME

Like Socrates, I am always questioning the world around me. I try to find a balance between living comfortably, and improving the world around me. I'm quite versatile, which is a good skill to have while travelling. I'm a co-owner of a chain on Yoga Studios in New England.

I like to think about the percentage of conscious atoms in the universe, and it makes me feel pretty darn lucky to be alive. I remain open to everything, but create my personal belief system from first hand experiences. I think the core

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I put my Mom's house up on Couchsurfing back in 2006 when it first started and have been hosting ever since. I've mainly hosted, as hospitality is a passion of mine, but also enjoy a good surf. But watch out, the last house I surfed I ended up moving in! (Yes, I paid rent) :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time, a CouchSurfer asked to meet up just for a coffee. He was a writer, and a very prestigious hotel in my town had given him a free deluxe suite, and he was to write about it for a magazine. After coffee, and dinner, and a yoga class, we started drinking. This continued for some time and eventually he passed out on the carpet in my living room and never got to sleep in his luxurious hotel!

There are many more good CouchSurfing stories but I will save the rest for when we CouchSurf together.

Strapping a propeller to my back and flying over the treetops;
Chasing a butterfly for two hours in the Swiss alps for that "perfect" shot;
Fully paid cruise trip to the Bahamas with a stripper named innocence;

When hitchhiking, you will have a lot better luck talking to people at Gas Stations and asking which way they are headed than sticking your thumb out on the side of the road. -Taught to me by a fellow CouchSurfer
