About Me
ABOUT ME
I live with my wife Alejandra who is from Chile. We have a beautiful cat named Siddharta.
I'm also an engineer - I work with energy efficiency in buildings. I'm really interested in sustainable buildings and design and hope to build my own house some day soon, or else renovate an old one.
I love eating all kinds of food and meeting people from other countries. I'm also learning Spanish and love Latin American culture. I'm exploring Central and South America one country at a time.
SOMETHING I FOUND FUNNY
A couch surfing veteran recently told me that she only accepts requests from people with negative references - apparently it shows character.
PHILOSOPHY
Although I'm not particularly religious or spiritual, I am a big believer in love and respect and try my best to treat everyone I meet with both. I think if everyone could see and respect other's perspectives, even if they don't agree, the world would be a much better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had the opportunity to stay with several couch surfing hosts while studying in Europe, and again while travelling through Central America. When I moved to Toronto I had an amazing time hosting people from all over the world.
Interests
Green building, photography, international development, trying to learn Spanish, sports, and the occasional drink or two.
