About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find out how big the world really is, by making it smaller every day

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty simple guy to say the least. I abide in Wyoming, a large state with very few people in the Western United Staes. I have no wife or kids, so much of my time is spent with my dog Scrum (very friendly dog by the way). I get to travel around the U.S. quite a bit for various reasons, although I try to travel abroad atleast once a year. Other than that, if you like small towns, energy production, cowboy thoughts and philosophies, the great outdoors, stories, or drinking MEAD than come on out to Gillette and you'll experience the awe that is Big Wonderful Wyoming.

PHILOSOPHY

Our experiences define who we become and where we are going in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host, travel with, and surf couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted several people at my house. Traveled with several others in various countries. Finally, I've surfed with people in several states and Japan. All of it has been thoroughly rewarding and I can't wait to continue!

Interests

Meeting interesting people, meeting different people, mountains, outdoors activities, firefighting, rugby, dogs, traveling, and whatever else comes along that day. I am also very interested in mead making (mazing) so now I work as a mazer and firefighter!

Music, Movies, and Books

Umberto Eco, Shoes of the Fisherman, Guns Germs and Steel, thought provoking books, The Believer, and a very large assortment of literature and media that challenges our ideas of the world as we know it. But we can't forget the entertaining media such as South Park (though still intelligent)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2012. It was incredible, people from all over the world just experiencing rugby at its finest. Especially the US vs Ireland game on September 11th. While we lost, the US Marine Corps band played beforehand, the US played great, and it was my first world cup game ever. I can't wait for RWC 2015!

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love share with anyone my knowledge and love for Wyoming. Other than that I'm more than willing to share and learn general knowledge and information about the massive world we live in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, United States
