Overview
About Me
Currently living in lovely Leeds. I spent 3 years studying in York, from a tiny village in Essex but originally from East London
Running most days, and writing poetry every day.
I have travelled but it is never enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love Couchsurfing because there is no greater way to show someone your town or city through your eyes. Whilst bringing something of their culture to you.
I also love the prospect that there are so fantastic people that I still don't know, there is always so much to learn from others.
I've been on CS since 2013 and I've made some amazing friends from the site. I think being in a new place and having a friend as soon as you arrive always makes the experience more enjoyable. I also love showing people around York, because we always discover something new together.
Interests
I love to go for long walks, getting lost and stumbling across an art gallery or bookshop. However I love to dance and I have a wonderful time in a little jazz club.
People say that an artist is never bored, which is probably true given that I spend most lonely train/bus journeys scribbling poetry or drawing whatever is around me.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Capital, 1984, Fiesta, Vile Bodies, the Great Gatsby, Noughts and Crosses, the Economic Consequences of the Peace. Love a good documentary, typically historical.
Films: Withnail and I, Edward Scissor Hands, Everybody else ... there are more but I can't seem to remember them
It sounds ridiculous but I such a wide range of music that I would fill this section and perhaps another. At the moment I am listening to Angel Olsen 's Album (Burn Your Fire). I have J Dilla's Donut on another tab for later and earlier I had Arvo Part's Symphony No.4.
Check them out, very different but amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
A big smile. Lots of chat and hopefully some useless facts that I have stored in my brain
