About Me

I teach in international schools with my partner. I surf and like cooking and am slightly addicted to studying new things. I will cross the road to step on a crunchy leaf.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've lived abroad for over half my life, and this seems like a nice chance to give back for all the amazing and generous things strangers have done for me in the past.
Just one of countless examples: a man in Fez welcomed me into his family house and provided me and my friend with a bed, home cooked food and tours of his city when he wasn't working.
I definitely owe something for so much kindness from different people, and I've had a great experience so far on CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once slapped a pigeon ... I was walking along some street in Bogota and he/she came out of nowhere flying straight for my head and I just reacted - so weird.. a couple of people who saw clapped. It was pretty odd. :/ not sure that answered the question actually.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages and am always happy to practice; always keen to learn about new people, places and things; and love sharing experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Am not looking at surfing as much as hosting as I'm working full time, so:

I work full time and study in my spare time so during the day won't be around much, but might cook you a meal at some point.. Love a good chat, am fairly chilled about everything. Oh though I won't put up with any racist/sexist/homophobic comments. So maybe not so chilled about those topics.
