Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing, but many friends have recommended it and so I am keen to get involved! I would love to host at the moment but I've moved back into my parents home so it isn't too easy.

Interests

I love music, books, film, cooking Middle eastern food, and photography. I'm passionate about ecogolical economics and promoting an economic system that provides social and environmental justice. Most of all I love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. I would struggle to pick a favourite film, but Into the Wild has definitely influenced my life. Wes Anderson is probably my favourite director.

Music. For me any song that, when first heard, makes me want to dance. Genres stretch from Hip Hop to Jazz to Soul to House to Trip Hop to Afrobeat to Indie to anything! Right now I'm really into Toumani Diabate and African instrumental music.

Books. I love reading, especially when its a really good novel that is hard to put down. A few of my favourite novels are Life of Pi, The Alchemist and The Shadow of the Wind. I also read a lot of alternative economics and philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my life's greatest experiences so far was spending the night next to the great wall of China. I watched the sun set on the wall with only my friends around me, and a local family fed us and sheltered us. The next morning we walked along the great wall for sunrise. It was a truly special experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and am willing to cook a delicious meal for any host as a thank you! I'm vegetarian though but I promise it will be amazing!
