I lived and worked in Manchester, UK for the last 7 years. Then I decided to move to northern Spain and I landed up in Santiago de Compostela! What luck!

I currently spend my time teaching people fun things about the English language such as the 200 phrasal verbs and the infinite number of collocations. Good times for all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back when I lived in Manchester I was a Couchsurfing host. I met some fascinating people and made some lifelong friends -- there are so many interesting people in the world!

Interests

I love music and I play a few instruments, mainly guitar and trombone. Not at the same time though.

I love the outdoors and in particular I like to do rock climbing, although I really need to get more experience with ropes as I currently mostly just go out with a bouldering mat or go to indoor climbing centres.

MUSIC: Where do I start???? At the top I guess. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones; The Fiery Furnaces; Tom Waits; The Clash; The Slackers; Eels; Blur; Super Furry Animals; Fishbone; The Smiths; Less Than Jake; Jeffrey Lewis; but any music really as long as it doesn't take itself too seriously!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove a car right across Europe, halfway through Russia & most of the way across Mongolia.

I can teach you a bit of guitar, or even trombone if you like a challenge.

I can help you with the English language, or with basic Spanish.

And we can talk about music and go to concerts!

I like to cook, so we can share some tasty food.
