About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world with an objective lens, learning from everyone who crosses my path. Life is all about sharing my journey and the shared journey between us all. I aim to connect with beautiful people.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going, engaging person with an open mind looking for meaningful cultural connection. I love to listen, share stories, and engage with nature through hiking, yoga, meditation, swimming, sailing, rock climbing, the list goes on!

I live on Hawaii Island where I am learning to sail, harvest coconuts weekly, forage for fruit, volunteer locally, and caretake a macadamia nut orchard. The more I listen the more I understand. I love music, languages, permaculture, and traditional cooking and crafts. Check out my instagram to see trough my eyes: https://www.instagram.com/allisoneisall/

PHILOSOPHY

Never judge, always love!

I seek to find happiness in everyday rituals, the unknown, and in meeting new people. I am both in despair over the current state of the world and the unfathomable depth and greed of our species and in daily awe at the beauty of this planet and it's inahabitants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

2013 marks my first year with couch surfer and while I mainly plan to surf, I can't wait until I have a space of my own to welcome travelers with a warm, open heart. Since then I've hosted and surfed all over!

I have so far surfed in Japan, Indonesia, Chile, Australia, and the USA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oh wow, so many beautiful people and places. And the trust and compassion blows me away every time.

I love to learn more about local culture through food, art, and music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built two strawbale houses with 15 people in the redrock desert of Moab, Utah!

One summer I attempted to summit Volcano Cotopaxi in Ecuador. Such a beautiful and mystifying place, especially when above the cloud line!

Hiked in New Zealand in flip flops until my feet were bleeding after I lost my shoes in a river.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and want to continue learning Spanish. I can sing and want to learn to dance. I love abstract expression and want to learn more realistic representation in my drawings.

I love to garden and add to my permaculture education.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, music, art, yoga, cleaning, and non-judgmental listening.
