Hey, I'm Samu, I come from Italy but have lived in Denmark in an international environment for ten years. I love learning about different cultures, how they are similar and how they are opposite and traveling is one of the best ways to do this.

Of course, my favourite cultural aspect to learn about is the food!

Sports is also another important aspect to many cultures and I love learning about that. I try make it a point to get a souvenir from the local sports team whenever I go somewhere, I think it might reflect the local culture more than those silly caps from souvenir shops. ;)

I enjoy talking to people about their countries and I also enjoy laughing and making fun of my own country, humour is one of the most important things in life imo.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Spending time with local people helps so much in learning how exactly life is where you are. Plus, it's always fun to meet new people who share interest in traveling!

I wish I read more, of course the last thing I read was A Song of Ice and Fire. But I won't spoil anything. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two weeks of volunteering in a mountain village in Laos. It was a wonderful learning experience to live in an underdeveloped village and share life style with the villagers for a bit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of jokes, some Italian recipes and a high chance of a fun debate about football, politics, Marvel movies or whatever!
