I'm Sami. I was born in Ethiopia but have lived in United States since I was a kid. I'm open-minded and love meeting new people.

I grew up in Washington DC.
I've lived in London, San Francisco and New York City.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently quit my job (Jan 2026) and started an "around the world trip."

I think that traveling without meeting local people doesn't feel right. I want to get a deeper understanding of the country's culture and there is no better way to do that than to couchsurf.

I also want to make friends all over the world!
