I'm Sam, Lancaster University graduate, moved over from West Yorkshire for uni 9 years ago and stayed...because its sooo good here!

Sports and the outdoors enthusiast, keen cyclist, field hockey, tennis & bowls player. Also enjoy runs, walks and hikes.

I've lived with housemates for several years, and now I'd love to open up my home to share with visitors!

I'm keen to meet interesting new people, listen to their experiences, get travel inspiration and tips, and keep my carbon footprint as low as possible!

I was fortunate enough to have a very positive first couchsurfing experience (two weeks house-sitting in Stafford whilst I studied for my Cytech bicycle mechanic qualification).
Now I'd like to give back, and give others an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lancaster for free too!

Music: 'mainstream' - varied - anything but heavy metal and 'hard-core' rap. Love 'hits', especially 80's - 90's.
My playlists are mostly the most popular songs of bands and artists, great for sing alongs!

Movies: I like anything which gets good reviews. Watched most of the IMDB top 50 list. Favorite - perhaps Gladiator.

Books - not much of a reader anymore - loved Phillip Pullmans Dark Materials when I was a teenager.

Completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks hike in snow and hail in running shoes - would recommend the hike, but in better weather and shoes!
